WHAT IS CHITOSANTE?

A nature anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent derived from Chitosan. Chitosan is a polysaccharide extracted from the shell of crab or shrimp,which is well known as biocompatible, biodegradable and nontoxic. Chitosante is registered under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide ACT.of U.S.A. ChitoSanté uses the active ingredient chitosan to bring textiles advanced performances with good durability. This scientific development is on the basis of molecular technology incorporating chitosan into fibers at the molecular level, which has also been called nanotechnology on the viewpoint of molecular dimension. ChitoSanté is a liquid form of chitosan, in which the chitosan macromolecules present chain-coil as being micelles dispersed in aqueous solution. The micelle was investigated by the microscopy which showed the particle size to be 50-200 nano meter, so-called structures of nano and submicron dimensions. The molecular level materials enhance the way chitosan being adsorbed, diffused, fixed and reacted unto fiber and create multifunctions including antimicrobial, wicking, static-free, and hand-properties in fabric. The SEM (Scanning Electric Microscopy) figure of the fabric treated with ChitoSanté demonstrates that the chitosan molecule distributes evenly on the surface of fiber. Most chitosan micelles do not coagulate together as applied fiber. Otherwise, the ChitoSanté technology gives chitosan at the molecular level consistently, thus stacking and diffusing unto fiber. The nano dimension of ChitoSanté appears on the smooth skin of treated fiber which leads a durability and high performance of fiber modification. Chitosante is enviromentally friendly and safe to human body, and is certified as an ecological product by Intertek Testing Services. In addition to be a strong anti-microbial agent, chitosante significantly improves the performances of fabrics such as soft handle, good drape ,anti-elecrostatic, good moisture transmision and breathability, etc. Chitosante is widely used in textiles
